Hershey Park, June 28th 1985.

A fine AUD indeed, in an underrated year.  The last performance (of only 8) of Bobby’s R&B vehicle Superstitious.  I saw Phil here in 2001 (with Willie opening!) and sold a burrito to some dudes who had been to this show.  They kept turning nervous glances to this weird old building on the hill overlooking the lot, until one of ‘em mentioned that when they’d been here in 1985 they were all tripping and there was a rumor going around that the house was a creepy old insane asylum.  Those were scary words back then… anyway, the whole place smelled like chocolate.  

And how often to you get a first-set three-fer like Jerry’s Birdsong>Comes a Time>Deal?  Almost never!  There’s a nice Charlie Miller out there too.
